Beauty Reveals Itself; The Process of Antique Light Restoration

Moving forward into our second year at the new RENEW Gallery showroom, we hope to continue to bring you exciting news and design inspiration. When you walk though our doors we want you to be as overwhelmed as we are, everyday when we come to work, by the stunning collection of restored antique lighting and decorative arts that make up our collection.

It is important for us to note, that our showroom is only one half of what makes our business so unique and special. We have an incredible on-site workshop where all the real magic happens – the process behind our antique light restoration.

All of our lights are tenderly restored by hand to their original splendour, and we think that this process can be just as fascinating as the finished product. In our upcoming column Beauty Revealed, we will be showing you before and after transformations of antique lighting, telling you a little bit about our restoration process, and of course – displaying all of this in a beautiful photo story.

I hope you are as excited as we are.

The first official light that will be featured in Beauty Revealed is this stunning Rococo leafy 5-light fixture. This circa 1905 entry light is in the style of Louis XV, and depicts heavy cast leaves and original twist opalescent shades.

It may look incredible to you now, but after it has been taken apart, and lovingly restored – the result will be incredible. Please stay tuned for the transformation, in Beauty Revealed.
